Therapy Sessions

Speech therapy sessions are personalized sessions involving the speech-language pathologist, patient, and caregivers. Your evaluation report will summarize the therapy goals, which are developed based on the information obtained in your evaluation session. Your therapist will provide you with recommendations for addressing skills at home and across environments to ensure that skills gained in therapy are mastered in all settings.

Therapy may take place in our therapy gym, small therapy rooms, or larger play rooms. Parents and caregivers are welcome to join sessions if this is determined to be the best scenario for the patient.

Sessions are typically 60 minutes in length, with the last 15 minutes being reserved for discussion with caregivers to plan home programming, discuss updates, and ensure open communication with all team members. This time is also used by the therapist to clean up from the session and complete documentation and billing as needed for each session. As such, caregivers are required to be present in the session or the lobby 45 minutes in to the session time.
